Our pediatric physical therapy team is experienced in helping children of all ages, and is specialized in birth to 18 months to help your child’s needs, whether it is reaching their critical gross motor milestones, treatment for asymmetrical head shapes, or head tilting/neck tightness.

Our licensed physiotherapists provide personalized treatment plans that include caregiver education to ensure skills gained in the clinic carry over to the home.

We provide free head shape, Torticollis, and gross motor delay screening for infants birth to 18 months.

Very knowledgeable in there field. Friendly, kind, always a plan of attack for each visit and issue I've have come in for, torn rotator cups, back issues, hipp, hand/wrist, damaged Achilles heel. In my case, balance confidence ( due to neuropathy) They actually listen to you - and are empathetic.  Their positive attitude: you get out of it ; what you put into it. From scheduling  and working with my VA insurance to the PT sessions, everything runs very smoothly. I am 4 months postpartum with my first baby and had an evaluation with Stephanie at 6 weeks PP. She is so encouraging and meets you where you’re at and gets results for you to reach your goals. I went from having pain to being able to run and workout again. My core feels stronger now than it had prior to the pregnancy. I also worked with Curtis, Micah, Jill & Kate (from other clinics) due to my personal scheduling, and everyone helped me with skilled professionalism.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My star rating is a little off. I would 100% give 5 stars when it was Stephanie,  Curtis, and Emily working. They were amazing. They worked well together, shared ideas with each other and were extremely personable. It didn't matter if they worked with you or not that day everyone still said hello and checked in on you. Nick, who I never worked with one on one would even talk to every person to see how they were doing. With the new manager I would give 3 stars or less. The new manager and exercise specialist don't say a work to anyone unless they are working directly with you. The times I have been there the new manager spent more times in his off then on the floor. He never said one word to me even though he walked by me multiple times. The front desk ladies are super nice and helpful.

I had used a PT place in Puyallup after my last few surgeries. I am so happy that I located this place and this group of therapists! I worked with Emily who was very kind and gentle, yet knowledgeable and effective, and Stephanie who is a high energy, knowledgeable, bolt of humor.  I always felt better after going there. Before I found Elite Physical Therapy, I had been to other places for neck issues and most seemed to go through pretty much the same routine each visit. (Hated going) So when my Dr. said I needed P.T. (for L4/L5 grade 2 anterolisthesis & severe spinal/foraminal stenosis), I was less than enthusiastic & admittedly dragged my heels before making that first appointment. I've been going for a few months now & from that initial appointment & onward, I could see this place was different.  We discussed my situation, my issues, needs, obstacles, etc. and I feel they really listened.  There's no " one-size-fits-all" in this place.  They have designed a program that caters specifically to my needs & best outcome.  And there is variety.  The people are awesome, & it feels like they are genuinely vested in your success, which is what makes this place stand out.  I now look forward to coming here! 😁 Highly Recommend.

The receptionist was very welcoming and provided me with all the forms I needed for my intake. My physical therapist Stephanie was very professional and very thorough with her evaluations. I was given some exercises to do at home and scheduled some upcoming appointments with her. This is my second referral for my shoulder injury after my fall to Elite Physical Therapy. I am back this round because I had successful post surgery therapy at this location. I have been highly impressed with the staff at this location from the front desk all the way to the therapists. The utmost of care is taken with each patient, working within one’s own limitations, and gaining strength with each visit. I had a choice of many places local to me but I chose Elite because they have a proven track record with me. The therapists ensure proper body form with each exercise which is important to me. Their knowledge of the human body is tantamount to successful therapy and teaching me the same so I have a clear  understanding of what is the root cause of my limitations. Stephanie, at this location, is superior at what she does and I am extremely satisfied with the progress I have been able to make under their care.

Our daughter has gone to physical therapy on and off for years and Elite is BY FAR the best PT she has had. Each person on the team adjusts amazingly to the person they are working with to make them feel more comfortable and best motivate them. They have been lifesavers after a very invasive knee surgery! I can't imagine a better set of people to work with my daughter. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Pediatric PT FAQ

Why is my baby’s head flat?

Infant skulls are softer than adult skulls due to the ongoing process of bone development. This means that when sustained and repetitive pressure is exerted on the infant’s head, such as from the uterine walls in utero or from sleeping on their back, the skull may “flatten” in response. This does NOT mean you should have your infant sleep on their stomach. Remember the phrase, “back to sleep, tummy to play!”

When should I be concerned by baby isn’t walking yet?

Current evidence indicates that the normalized age to develop the skill of walking independently is between 12-18 months. If your child is not walking independently at 18 months, it is recommended they be evaluated by a pediatric physical therapist. If you are considered that your child is a late walker or has shown delayed acquisition of other gross motor milestones, then earlier screening and/or referral to a pediatric physical therapist is recommended. There are many tools available to track your child’s milestones; Pathways.org is strongly recommended for their evidenced-based tracking tools.

Is toe-walking normal?

A child who walks with their toes/balls of their feet as the primary point of contact with the floor is often called a “toe-walker”. The heels are often completely lifted from the floor, but sometimes with mild toe-walking you may still see the heels touch the floor; this gait pattern often looks “bouncy”. Children who are learning to walk may experiment with different walking patterns, including toe-walking. By the time a child turns 2 years old, they should have developed the ability to land primarily on their heel with each step— this is called the heel-strike. Children who continue to prefer toe-walking after 24 months should be referred to a pediatric physical therapist for evaluation and treatment.
