Physical Therapy in Newport

I have never experienced a better atmosphere and patient care than at Back In Motion in Newport. I’ve experienced debilitating knee pain for years and no matter where I went, I was never able to find successful rehabilitation. Then I became a patient at BIM and within several sessions, my knee pain went away. They are easy and good to work with, care is considerate and coordinated, all the staff are polite (especially Sonja, she’s so bubbly and polite!) and I just can’t express how much I would recommend them for your medical needs!

The receptionist is one amazing, beautiful woman she is so funny and so great I’m so jealous of her white hair ! She really knows how to make someone feel welcome and comfortable! You guys definitely need to go here just to see her. She’s amazing. She’s so funny. This is definitely a place to have fun while healing!

Amazing help with nerve impingement.

They seem to do a good job at working with patients. Be prepared to have your business put out on the street. It is an open gym style Office and you work side-by-side with other clients, trainers, and the people sitting in the waiting room. They will talk about everything and anything and 90% of it has nothing to do with your training or physical therapy. The receptionist seems nice but it’s a bit over the top with trying to be funny. It comes off as obnoxious. But, it’s better than being a raging hag so there’s that. Overall, I think the therapy you receive is excellent. I think they just goof around too much and they will air business right there on the floor.

Back In Motion is a fantastic place to go to get physical therapy and the staff are very nice,friendly and just a great atmosphere to be in. They help you in anyway to get you back 100 percent or pretty darn close to it. The staff takes the time to answer your questions and not in a hurry to ship you out the door. I Definitely recommend Back In Motion for anyone out there needs physical therapy, you won't be sorry you did.

My doc recommended I do PT for a herniated disk in my cervical spine. When I arrived at Back in Motion in Newport I was in constant pain. I couldn't even drive my car because I was unable to turn my head. Eight weeks later I able to resume my normal activities, including driving, thanks to Sonja. What I appreciated about Sonja, compared to other therapists I've had, is that she explained what she was asking me to do and how it would help me. This motivated me to want to perform the exercises at home which sped-up my progress. I still do the exercises nearly everyday to maintain my range of motion. The best part? Every therapy session ended with a neck/shoulder massage!

The staff here are great! I have been to the "other" Physical Therapy place in the next 2 towns over...you know the one; run by the hospital. Well, I did like the other place and then they seemed to start going downhill....that all being said; Back In Motion is great! They have a very friendly staff. An open environment. The staff are super knowledgeable. They take the time to listen to their patient instead of "just reading their chart". The staff member helping me is Kristen. She listened to my concerns and has been trying to address them. You really couldn't find a more friendly atmosphere to be around. As I had said before the staff here IS great! Right from the front desk to the therapist. Thank you for everything so far and hopefully we can get my shoulder back to where it should be lol.

Awesome therapists, very knowledgeable and focused on getting the patient back in the best physical shape .. They know what therapies one needs to reach their goals . Back in Motion in Newport is the best . Helped my wife after hip replacement get back to all her normal activities . I recovered after one knee partial replacement and I am currently in therapy for my other knee replacement .

I had an injury requiring me to fly home early from my sabbatical in Europe. My orthopedic surgeon contacted Back In Motion on my behalf to schedule physical therapy. They took 1.5 days to call me back, fine. Then, they were scheduling out 1.5 weeks, fine. I asked if they knew if any other locations had something earlier-they had no idea. I assumed I kept the appointment I scheduled for today while I called around. I planned my return flight back around the appointment I thought I still had. I assumed I could learn some exercises/homework to do on my own and continue my other activities. When I called originally the person I spoke with seemed more concerned with my ability to get up “early” for a -gasp- 8 am-appointment than for anything else. When I arrived today for my appointment I thought I still had, there were two employees. Neither seemed that keen in checking me in-waiting for the other to make the first move. Then, they were loudly sharing photos of last nights dinner on their phones. I wish the reception staff at Back in Motion were more professional, accountable, and mature. I can’t say anything first-hand about the care, but family members have had good care here. The front desk is the first impression of any business and these employees have made a bad first impression. Their job is just as important and their therapist’s, and they should take it with that level of professionalism and responsibility.

Came to Back in Motion Physical Therapy - Newport for PT for a broken ankle. It's such a welcoming and positive environment right when you walk in the door. All the staff are so helpful and sweet. The care and effort they put into their work shows in the gains I make every week. 10/10 highly recommend.

Kristen at Back In Motion Physical Therapy is very knowledgeable and helpful for my physical therapy needs. She makes me feel comfortable and is giving me lots of stretches, exercises, and good advice to help me improve what we are working on. She and the others in the office are personable, friendly and caring.
